With the full support of NIA RVI Acting Regional Manager Engr. Jonel B. Borres and Aklan-Capiz IMO Division Manager Engr. Raymond B. Mojares, the SANTACASA IA, Inc. had its annual general assembly in Agcawilan, Lezo, Aklan on March 4, 2024.
NIA ACIMO Operations and Maintenance Section Chief Engr. Julieta E. Gallardo supervised the event with the assistance of the office’s Operations and Maintenance Section and Institutional Development Unit.
SANTACASA IA, Inc. President, Mr. Rene G. Tapican went over their accomplishments in 2023, including clearing activities, LIPA, and financial reports. Additionally, Ms. Fatima Taparan (IDO, ACIMO) highlighted the 2024 action plan, Ms. Anthonette Trinidad (SWRFT, ACIMO) discussed the water delivery agenda, and Mr. Raffy Hilario (NIA-R6, Sr. IDO) discussed Contract Farming and promoted FISA Application of SANTACASA IA, Inc.
Raffle prizes were also given to the lucky winners that are present at the said event. The assembly brought together IA Officials and members, reflecting the achievements and challenges faced by the association.
The Annual General Assembly has been a medium for dialogue, cooperation, and decisive action as it implements resolutions and action plans. Through the event, the NIA is prepared to have a concrete impact on agriculture, demonstrating the power of collective effort in crafting a more prosperous and resilient future.
