On February 8, 2022, the NIA Central Office Operations Department, headed by Engr. Delsy J. Revellame, together with the Systems Management Division (SMD), conducted a Regional CY 2021 Year-end Assessment and Inventory of Irrigation Systems to Irrigation Management Offices (IMO) in Region VI. The event was held at Adee’s Catering Services Function Hall, Kalibo, Aklan.
Revellame was joined by SMD Division Manager Engr. Eusebio S. Villamanto, Principal Engineer A Engr. Ma. Lourdes J. Garriga, and Supervising Engineer A Engr. Anne Bernice C. Baetiong.
The topics discussed were the status of projects, catchup plan for all carryover projects with target date of completion, accomplishment for the year, Operations and Maintenance performance, inventory report, and irrigation development status.
Headed by NIA Region VI Regional Manager Engr. Rory F. Avance, Division Managers of IMOs in Region VI each presented their reports; Engr. Isaias C. Melendez for Negros Occidental IMO, Engr. Ma. Elena T. Basco for Antique IMO, Engr. Randy C. Alipis for Iloilo-Guimaras IMO, Engr. Lorena B. Sioco for Aklan-Capiz IMO (Aklan), and Engr. Edna L. Señadoza for Aklan-Capiz IMO (Capiz).
At the end of all the presentations, Engr. Villamanto gave a concrete evaluation and reminders to the participants for improvement and uniformity of all reports and presentations to be addressed in the next assessments.
Engr. Robertino O. Lapeña, NIA Region VI Division Manager for Engineering and Operations Division left a closing message to the participants, extending the gratitude for the presence of Engr. Revellame and company for having the time to conduct a face to face assessment on the region’s accomplishments and status when it comes to irrigation development.
The NIA Region VI Operations Section, headed by Engr. Asil S. Areño facilitated the activity with the assistance of Aklan-Capiz IMO personnel being the host for the event.
