Iloilo City — The Multipartite Monitoring Team (MMT) for the Panay River Basin Integrated Development Project (PRBIDP) convened for its 4th Quarter Meeting on November 9-10 at Sotogrande Hotel, Greenmeadows, Jaro, Iloilo City. Led by Acting CaPENRO and Committee Chairman EnP Ronald Allan Cullo, the two-day event brought together the MMT members to review project progress, discuss environmental management, and conduct site assessments.
The first day of the meeting focused on updates to the ongoing development activities within the Panay River Basin. Committee members presented the latest developments in road implementation and evaluated the adherence to the Environmental Management Plan.
Additionally, the team revisited and refined the committee’s Manual of Operations, ensuring that all project activities align with environmental compliance standards and sustainable development goals.

On the second day, the committee conducted a site visit to recently opened roads, a key element of the PRBIDP’s efforts to improve infrastructure for local communities and enhance project accessibility. The on-site inspection allowed the team to observe the environmental impact and functionality of the newly constructed roads firsthand.
The PRBIDP, a major undertaking in Capiz, aims to address both the agricultural and environmental needs of the region. The MMT’s involvement underscores the commitment to rigorous environmental oversight and transparent project monitoring, furthering sustainable development within the Panay River Basin.
