ACIMO'S BARANGAY OUTREACH INITIATIVE ENCOURAGES AKLAN AND CAPIZ FARMERS TO APPLY FOR ISF CONDONATION UNDER THE FREE ISF

The Billing Unit of NIA-Aklan-Capiz IMO has launched an initiative focused on field activities to reach and inform more farmers in the provinces of Aklan and Capiz about the Application for Condonation and Writing Off of Unpaid Free Irrigation Service Fees (ISF) under Republic Act 10969, also known as the Free Irrigation Service Act (FISA).

Under the leadership of Engr. Raymond B. Mojares, Division Manager of Aklan-Capiz IMO, the ACIMO Billing Unit led by Ms. Kaycee Ann Retorico, began their barangay-to-barangay visits on August 6, 2024, in Jugas, New Washington, Aklan, and these visits are still ongoing. Since the start of this initiative, they have reached twelve barangays in Aklan. Similarly, the NIA-ACIMO Mambusao Office started the same activity on August 22, 2024, in Pangpang Sur, Mambusao, Capiz. As of date, they received a total of 285 applications since the activity began.

This activity aims to encourage and engage the farmers of Aklan and Capiz provinces to apply for the Condonation and Writing Off of Unpaid Free Irrigation Service Fees for their farmlands, with the hope of increasing the number of applications for this government program.
