The turn-over of the brand new container house as an office of the LIPUMA OF AKLAN IA, INC. was successfully conducted last August 14, 2024, at NIA-WMT, Linabuan Norte, Kalibo, Aklan.
The activity was attended by the supportive Division Manager of Aklan-Capiz IMO Engr. Raymond B. Mojares, Engineering and Operation Section Chief Engr. Julieta Gallardo, Institutional Development Section Chief Engr. Mary Ann Orbita, and the NIA Regional Office VI IDS staff Ms. Zoraida B. Seria and John Raffy F. Hilario. The donor was represented by Mr. Alex Carlo Magno, and the NIA-ACIMO staff and members of the IA were also present to support the said event.
The said container house is donated through the effort and collaboration of NIA VI-IDP and Mr. Magno. The Acting Regional Manager of NIA RVI Engr. Jonel B. Borres heartily offered assistance to the IA by providing staff to aid in the installation of the office for the farmers.
The IA, represented by its president Mr. Julius Selorio, is thankful for the donation and invaluable effort of the in-charge IDO Ms. Rina Calvez. According to Mr. Selorio, they were praying to have an office and now that they have it, they can venture to avail programs and projects of other organizations through the NIA Convergence Program and other available linkages.
