BUYANIHAN/KADIWA SA NIA MARKET IN NEGROS OCC: BRINGING FARMERS' PRODUCE NEARER TO CONSUMERS

NIA Negros Occidental IMO, headed by Division Manager Engr. Isaias C. Melendez, launched the BuyAnihan Market or KADIWA sa NIA together with FIACN-BRIS Inc., President, Mr. Pedro Limpangog.

This pop-up market event that shall be held every Wednesday at the NIA-NOIMO compound in Bago City, helps the farmers in bringing their local produce to consumers. Engr. Melendez sees that Producer-to-Consumer Way of market can greatly help increase the income of the local farmers. He also encourages support from the NIAns as well as the local community to purchase produce directly from the farmers because this helps improve their quality of life, in the long run.

KADIWA Program is the initiative of NIA Acting Administrator, Engr. Eduardo “Eddie” G. Guillen in support to President Bongbong Marcos in his goal to provide accessible, affordable agricultural products for the community.

The launch was also attended by the Bago City Agricultural Technician Mr. Roberto T. Juarana, Jr. and FIACN Inc. officers.
