NATIONAL IRRIGATION ADMINISTRATION (NIA) REGION VI HIGHLIGHTS SUPPORT TO FARMING IN FARMERS' AND COOPERATIVE DAY

The National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Region VI showed its support for farmers in New Lucena, Iloilo, on Farmer's and Cooperative Day earlier today, October 23, 2023.

During the event, Engr. Randy C. Alipis, the Division Manager of NIA-Iloilo-Guimaras Irrigation Management Office, represented the Acting Regional Manager, Engr. Jonel B. Borres. Engr. Alipis shared the various support programs and initiatives offered by NIA to assist farming. These initiatives include irrigation assistance, infrastructure development, and comprehensive training programs to enhance agricultural productivity and increase their income.

The event provided an excellent opportunity for farmers and cooperative representatives to exchange knowledge and establish connections with partner agencies in agriculture, as they were also present during the event. This strengthens the sense of unity in supporting farmers in enhancing agricultural productivity.
