NIA REGIONAL OFFICE VI ATTENDS THE 34TH NSM OPENING CEREMONY

NIA Regional Office VI attended the Opening Ceremony of the 34th National Statistics Month held at SM City Iloilo earlier today, October 4, 2023.

With the celebration’s theme “Accelerating Progress: Promoting Data and Statistics for Healthy Philippines”, the event highlighted the significance of statistical data in making informed decisions towards better health outcomes and bolstering the country’s socioeconomic development.

The event was graced by keynote speaker, Dr. Ma. Sophia S. Pulmones, Assistant Regional Director of DOH Western Visayas. In her speech, she emphasized how information derived from statistical data enabled the agency to actualize its goals in commitment to the Universal Health Care Act. Representatives from different government agencies and organizations resonated with this and actively participated in the activities. NIA’s support for the said event shows how the agency aligns with the importance of statistical information in serving its stakeholders, especially the farmers to improve agricultural productivity.

The National Statistics Month was officially welcomed by Engr. Arecio A. Casing Jr., Regional Director of NEDA VI.
