ACIMO INITIATES CONVERGENCE WITH CAPIZ AND AKLAN LGU FOR IRRIGATION DEVELOPMENT

As the NIA’s present administration encourages the strengthening of linkages with other government agencies, NIA-ACIMO is dedicated to the development, management, and maintenance of the multipurpose irrigation systems within the provinces of Aklan and Capiz. Its overarching goal is to foster sustainable growth, improve connectivity, and ensure the well-being of the farmers.

Last August 16, 2023, an ocular inspection was conducted by the Acting Division Manager of Aklan-Capiz IMO, Engr. Raymond B. Mojares and representatives from the Provincial Engineering Office in the Province of Aklan. The proposed project is in San Jose, Ibajay, Aklan.

Bank protection will be installed and funded by the Provincial Engineering Office in coordination with the office of the National Irrigation Administration- ACIMO. The integration of ACIMO with the Provincial Engineering Office is a visionary step toward modernizing infrastructure management. The partnership has the potential to create a more sustainable, resilient, and responsive infrastructure network that meets the needs of the present and the challenges of the future for the farmers in the province of Aklan.

The Aklan-Capiz IMO has actively participated in partnership with the LGU of Aklan because it recognizes the value of synergy in accomplishing developmental goals. This collaboration is a perfect example of the maxim that combined efforts produce better outcomes. Through this partnership, the two organizations pool their knowledge, resources, and approaches to solve the provinces’ and farmers’ numerous issues.

Collaboration increases productivity while also advancing the province’s overall growth and development. The collaboration between ACIMO and the Provincial Engineering Office establishes a precedent for how irrigation infrastructure projects may be carried out and maintained in an efficient manner.
