A half-year has passed, and the CY 2023 Mid-year Assessment for Project Implementation was held on July 18, 2023, at the National Irrigation Administration-Aklan-Capiz IMO, Brgy. Linabuan Sur, Banga, Aklan.
The assessment was headed by our Regional Manager, Engr. Rory F. Avance, together with the Acting Division Manager of Aklan-Capiz IMO, Engr. Raymond B. Mojares, the Division Manager of Engineering and Operations Division of NIA- Regional Office, Engr. Robertino O. Lopeña, and the Division Manager of Administrative and Finance Division, Ms. Lyn Grace B. Causing, along with staff from the NIA- Region VI.
In order to effectively deliver our projects to the Filipino farmers in the provinces of Aklan and Capiz, the activity aims to evaluate our progress, address any issues we have encountered, and ensure we are on the right track. We will analyze how well the equipment, personnel, and cash resources are being used. We will examine the budget allotted to each project, discuss any changes or new funding requirements, and determine possibilities for resource and cost efficiency. For CY 2023, 18 projects from Aklan and 9 from Capiz were presented. Projects from the previous years (2020-2022) were also discussed.
We will determine any necessary improvements and take appropriate action to solve any gaps or difficulties based on the assessment's results.
The next assessment will be conducted the following year to assess the status of the said projects.
