CAPIZ HOLDS INVESTORS' FORUM, NIA PRESENTS PRBIDP

In celebration of Capiztahan, the annual festival of the Province of Capiz from April 14 to May 1, 2023, the province has organized events for the locals and tourists to enjoy its rich heritage, culture, and seafood. One of the highlights of the festival is the Investors Forum held at Pueblo de Panay at Roxas City last April 21, 2023, to shed light on the investment potential of the province of Capiz.

Different national and international investors were invited and are present in the forum. Government Agencies, LGUS, and NGOs were also present. Selected agencies from different industries, like agriculture, tourism, hospitality, energy, etc. have presented their plans and projects for investment opportunities.

Governor Fredenil H. Castro pointed out that Capiz is ready for investors regardless of their nationality and race because they are considered Capiznon. Moreover, Mayor Ronnie T. Dadivas presented why Roxas City is worthy of investment by highlighting the city’s agriculture, technology advancement, eco-heritage, beach tourism, and IT BPO industry.

Engr. Robertino O. Lapeña, Division Manager of Engineering and Operations Division of National Irrigation Administration Regional Office No. VI presented the mega dam, Panay River Basin Integrated Development Project (PRBIDP), its status, project details, components, and benefits. The mega-dam project will be constructed in the Province of Capiz specifically in Tapaz. Together with him in the event were Engr. Junnel Napura, Mr. Kelvin Tacda, and Ms. Raylene Joy Tibang.
