National Irrigation Administration, Region VI – Institutional Development Program (IDP) successfully conducted the Convergence 2023 last March 15, 2023, at Diversion 21 Hotel, Iloilo City. It was participated by the IDP Implementers of this region, NIA employees, and other agencies supporting the agriculture sector.
The Department of Agriculture, National Food Authority, Department of Social Welfare and Development, Department of Labor and Employment, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation, Agricultural Training Center, PhilRice, PHilMech, and West Visayas State University - University Extension and Development Center were the partner National Government Agencies (NGA) and academe that graced the event.
The theme, “Bringing the Government Programs through National Irrigation Administration – Institutional Development Program” had a main objective to establish a strong partnership with other government agencies by providing Agri-support services to the farmers.
The NIA and partner agencies alike expressed their support for the effective program implementation towards the development of every Irrigators’ Association.
