
An inter-agency convergence for Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPHAP) is being held in the province of Iloilo to assist various Irrigators Associations (IAs) in creating connections with the national agencies and Local Government Units for marketing their produce.
The EPHAP is a government initiative that aims to mitigate hunger, ensure food security, and reduce poverty in urban and rural communities, including marginalized communities, through the synergy and convergence of essential services from various agencies.
Present here today are the officials from the National Irrigation Administration, Mr. Martin T. Tacloban, Acting Division Manager of the Institutional Development Division of NIA-Central Office, Dr. Leo L. Gallego, Consultant; Engr. Randy C. Alipis, Division Manager A of IGIMO; Ms. Joy A. Babiera, Community Relations Chief of NIA-IDS Region VI, and participants from Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation, Ms. Shiela Aguhob, Insurance Underwriter; Mr. Jason Lemeric, Account Assistant from Landbank of the Philippines; Iloilo Provincial BJMP headed by Chief Inspector Kate Beltran, Provincial Jail Administrator; Mr. Philip Cesar B. Rumbaoa, Acting Assistant Branch Manager of National Food Authority (NFA); Mr. Paul Andrew Villeta, Agriculturist 1 of the Department of Agriculture; Mr. Joel Abalayan, Officer-in-Charge of Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Section of Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources- Region VI; officers and members of the different federation of Irrigators Association in the province of Iloilo.
This will also be the venue for the signing of Marketing Agreement between Aganan River Federation of Irrigators’ Association (ARFIA) and NFA; PALACATI-AN IA, Inc. and NFA; ARFIA and NIA Employees Association of the Philippines (NIAEASP); and PALACATI-AN IA, Inc. and NIAEASP.
