Engr. Randy C. Alipis, Division Manager A of the National Irrigation Administration- Iloilo-Guimaras Irrigation Management Office, led the turnover of Yugang Communal Irrigation System in Barangay Agdum, Miag-ao, Iloilo, earlier today.
Alipis handed the 5-million peso completed project to the Yugang Irrigators' Association, Inc., headed by their IA president Mr. Eric N. Fiagones.
This project composes the construction of canal structures and the installation of PVC pipes with a total length of 956.43 meters.
Moreover, the Yugang CIS will serve 30 hectares of the service area to 26 farmer-beneficiaries in the municipality of Miag-ao.
Vice Mayor Macario N. Napulan, M. D. and the members of the sangguniang bayan were also in attendance on behalf of Mayor Oscar "Richard" S. Garin, Jr., to support the programs and projects of the NIA for the farmers of the municipality.
