October 12, 2022- The National Irrigation Administration- Iloilo-Guimaras Irrigation Management Office (NIA-IGIMO) is holding a turnover ceremony of Two (2) Communal Irrigation Systems to the Local Government Unit of Maasin, Iloilo, today.
This activity is part of the NIA's transition plan for the implementation of Executive Order 138 on the full devolution of certain functions of the executive branch to local government units.
This will also be a venue for the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) and turnover documents to the LGU.
Present are the local officials headed by the Honorable Mayor Francis A. Amboy, members of Cabangcalan Maasin Irrigator's Association (IA), Inc., and Bgry. Tigbauan Farmers Association, and NIA personnel headed by Engr. Randy C. Alipis, Division Manager A of IGIMO.
NIA, after this turnover, will assist in the institutional aspect and technical matters for LGUs.
The NIA-IGIMO sets to turnover CIS to Six (6) municipalities for October.
