NIA RECEIVES RECOGNITION FROM KAPATIRAN PEACE AND DEVELOPMENT COMMUNITY

On March 10, 2022, a Groundbreaking and Turnover Ceremony of various projects of the National Government for the KAPATIRAN members of the Ibajay Peace and Development Community Settlement Site was held at Brgy. Cabugao, Ibajay, Aklan. Among the distinguished guests present was Sec. Carlito G. Galvez, Jr., Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity.

The National Irrigation Administration Region VI Aklan-Capiz Irrigation Management Office (ACIMO) is one of the partner agencies in the establishment of the KAPATIRAN community and the completion of the Housing Units (Phase I). NIA’s contribution to the project was in support to their agricultural livelihood and at the same time, the provision of potable water to the housing units through the Solar-Powered Pump Facility.

On behalf of NIA Region VI’s Regional Manager, Engr. Rory F. Avance and ACIMO Division Manager Engr. Lorena B. Sioco, Engr. Julieta E. Gallardo received the Plaque of Appreciation for the Agency’s valuable and steadfast commitment to building just and durable peace and development community.
