The Bagong Bayaning Magsasaka (BBM) Rice is being sold at Robinson’s Mall Iloilo, Iloilo City, specifically for vulnerable groups.
In collaboration with the Department of Agriculture-Western Visayas through the Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division, the NIA Iloilo-Guimaras Irrigation Management Office (NIA-IGIMO) is currently selling the BBM Rice in the 5-Day Marketing Promotion in the Consumption of Local Produce (Trade Fair and Exhibits).
The NIA IGIMO, headed by Division Manager A Engr. Randy C. Alipis, sold a total of 700 bags of rice (10 kilos/bag) since Monday, November 18, 2024, as the Trade Fair commenced.
This is part of the implementation of the Farming Support Services Program of the agency in the country which aimed to lower the price of rice to ₱29.00 per kilo or ₱290.00 per 10-kilogram bag and support local farmers.
