
January 8, 2023 - In the spirit of unity and camaraderie, NIA RVI partook in the simultaneous nationwide NIA Ushering 2024 earlier today at the Regional Office compound. While Irrigation Management Offices regionwide also held their own Ushering 2024 Event.
The office had a Gear-Up wall with gears that represent the employees that make up the agency. The blue gears symbolize the office’s top management headed by Acting Regional Manager Engr. Jonel B. Borres. The red ones portray the Division Managers represented by Engr. Robertino O Lapeña of Engineering and Operations, Ms. Lyn Grace B. Causing of the Administrative and Finance, and Engr. Randy C. Alipis of Iloilo-Guimaras IMO. The white gears are for the Section Chiefs of the office as represented by Principal Engineer A Engr. Rebecca F. Grana. Lastly, the yellow gears symbolize the Rank-and-File employees of the agency as represented by Supervising Institutional Development Officer Ms. Liezel G. Jarangue.

Acting RM Engr. Borres emphasized the significance of every single employee that constitutes the office. He added that he hopes that the NIA R6 will see the new year as an opportunity to vigor efforts to increase physical accomplishments to be able to help more Filipino farmers.
Irrigation Management Offices (IMO) being led by Acting Division Manager Engr. Bernard N. Castellano for Antique IMO, Acting Division Manager Engr. Raymond B. Mojares for Aklan-Capiz IMO, and Division Manager A Engr. Isaias C. Melendez ushered the year through their own celebrations in their respective offices, signifying oneness, connectivity, and synchronicity among the provinces in the region.
As a whole, the National Irrigation Administration recognizes the opportunities received, challenges faced, and accomplishments achieved by the agency in the past year. As the new year unfolds, NIA Regional Office VI is ready to work together towards a better and sustainable agricultural future for the Filipino people.
