The National Irrigation Administration Regional Office VI, under the leadership of Acting Regional Manager Engr. Jonel B. Borres, deployed 44 personnel to conduct survey activities and a Socio-Economic and Cultural Impact Assessment (SECIA) for the Panay River Basin Integrated Development Project (PRBIDP) in Barangay Acuña, Tapaz Capiz.
As the NIA VI continues to expedite the project’s development, deploying key NIA VI staff is essential to validating the area data through actual groundwork. In addition, the NIA VI conducted surveys and interviews as part of the project's Socio-Economic and Cultural Impact Assessment (SECIA) component, which is significant in studying the project's potential effects on the community, particularly in their livelihood and culture.

The newly hired personnel will focus on tasks related to PRBIDP to continuously expedite the project’s progress. With the support of the LGU of Barangay Acuña led by Hon. Michael Castor, and assistance from the Philippine Army, the NIA VI foresees the consistent development to actualize the PRBIDP.
