
The NIA Regional Office VI led by Acting Regional Manager Engr. Jonel B. Borres conducted its Midyear IDP Review and Planning Workshop (RPW) at the NFA Training Center, Quintin Salas, Jaro, Iloilo City from July 8 to July 11, 2024.
Under the supervision of IDS Community Relations Chief B Ms. Joy A. Babiera, the NIA RVI organized the 4-day activity to address challenges, devise solutions, and mitigate situations to accomplish targeted goals.


Representatives from Aklan-Capiz IMO, Negros-Occidental IMO, and Antique IMO were in attendance to present their reports and accomplishments as of June 30, 2024. Notable activities of the IMOS reported were the convergence programs, kadiwa sa NIA, contract farming, IA model farms, gulayamanan sa canal, IA social responsibilities, and other initiatives of Institutional Development Officers. In addition, a separate Review and Planning workshop will be organized for the Iloilo-Guimaras IMO considering the wide scope of the field office.
As the IDP focuses on assisting Irrigator’s Associations, the NIA Regional Office VI Institutional Development Section emphasizes the vitality of consistent reporting to ensure activities are updated and Irrigator’s Associations are given significant assistance as well.
