NIA REGION VI STARTS THE YEAR WITH GRATITUDE

As a yearly tradition of the National Irrigation Administration, the National Irrigation Administration - Region VI began the year with an ushering activity on January 9, 2023.

This simultaneous nationwide activity was participated by all Regional Offices, Project Management Offices, and Irrigation Management Offices.

This year’s theme: Ushering 2023: NIA Para sa Progresibong Pilipinas was captured through a Gratitude Wall, where employees colored each box with their choice of color based on their answer to the question “As a NIAn, what are you most grateful for?”

Each color represents the things that an employee could be grateful for NIA such as Blue for Salary and Benefits, Red for Love and Romance, Yellow for Friendships and Connection, Green for Opportunities and Experiences, and Orange for Honor and Recognition.

This obra maestra will be called “Agyamanak Iti Padanum”, an Ilocano sentence that means “Thank you, Irrigation”. It is a symbol of unity and gratitude to the Agency as it transforms the lives of the Filipino people.

The ushering event was attended by the Regional Office VI and Iloilo-Guimaras IMO employees held at the NIA Region VI compound, while other IMOs (Aklan-Capiz, Antique, and Negros Occidental) conducted their own ushering event in their respective provincial offices led by their Division Managers.

In his speech, Regional Manager A, Engr. Rory F. Avance encouraged the employees to value and treasure their employment in the agency, as there are many things that they can be grateful for just being employed in the NIA.

The event ended with a wine toast for good blessings and luck for the coming year, led by the Regional Manager.
