NIA-IGIMO GATHERS IAS FOR A SYSTEM MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEETING

The National Irrigation Administration-Iloilo-Guimaras Irrigation Management Office (NIA-IGIMO) gathered officers of the Irrigators’ Associations under the Jalaur-Suague Rivers Irrigation System (JSRIS) for a System Management Committee Meeting at the Pototan Coliseum, Pototan, Iloilo on May 28, 2025.

The activity focused on the operation and maintenance (O&M) accomplishments for the 2nd Dry 2025 of the three RIS (Jalaur Proper RIS, Jalaur Extension RIS, and Suague RIS). Discussions also included upcoming plans and the approval of the Water Delivery Distribution.

This meeting also served as a venue for updates on the support from invited partner agencies. Representatives from the Local Government Units of Pototan, Mina, and Zarraga, along with the Landbank of the Philippines, National Food Authority, and Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation, were present to present their programs and projects.

Engr. Randy C. Alipis, NIA-IGIMO Division Manager A, extended his gratitude to the Irrigators’ Associations for their unwavering commitment and support, which he stated, "inspires the agency to deliver its services."

He further emphasized that the collaboration between NIA, its partner agencies, and the LGUs plays a vital role in addressing the agricultural needs of farmers. "The NIA is always thankful for the support of our partner agencies and LGUs in providing what farmers need, especially those things NIA can't provide," Engr. Alipis stated while delivering updates on NIA's programs and projects.
