
“Let’s embrace technologies for a better and improved operation and maintenance for the agricultural production of farmers in the Province of Capiz, with the assistance and support from the National Irrigation Administration.”, said Hon. Kelyon B. Briones, the Tatag IA and Federation President of Mambusao River Federation of Irrigators’ Association (MaRFIA), Inc. during the IMT Contract Signing at NIA-Aklan- Capiz IMO Conference Room, Mambusao Office, Mambusao, Capiz.
The said IMT Contract signing was attended by officials from various Irrigators’ Associations (IAs), including PAMMARBBA, PASIMPOBA, PAPMBU, TATAG, GUINTO, and Sigma Sur (Ilawod), along with the Municipal Agriculturist of Mambusao, Capiz, Ms. Neda L. Linan, and personnel from NIA-ACIMO.
NIA-Aklan-Capiz IMO’s Division Manager, Engr. Raymond B. Mojares highlighted the responsibilities of the office and the Irrigators’ Associations (IAs) as stated in their signed contract. In addition, Engr. Julieta E. Gallardo, Chief of the Engineering and Operations Section, pointed out that while the signing of the IMT contract on May 7 marked an important event, it also represented the commencement of the continuing partnership between NIA and IAs to enhance agricultural operations and maintenance.
NIA remains committed to ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of irrigation systems in line with the government’s agricultural agenda. Building strong relationships and prioritizing the needs of Filipino farmers are at the forefront of NIA’s efforts to enhance farm productivity and income.
