A pre-construction conference for Bayuyan Small Reservoir Irrigation Project (SRIP) was held at El Circulo Convention Center, Pueblo de Panay, Roxas City, Capiz on March 2, 2023.
Present at the event is Engr. C’zar M. Sulaik, Deputy Administrator of Engineering and Operations of NIA Central Office and staff from the Project Planning Division. Also present are Engr. Rory F. Avance, Regional Manager A of NIA Region 6, Engr. Robertino O. Lapeña, Engr. Raymond B. Mojares, Engr. Julieta Gallardo and NIA Akla-Capiz IMO staff.
Mayor Receliste Esculin also graced the event and expressed his support for the construction of Bayuyan SRIP in President Roxas, Capiz. The engineers and specialists of both NIA and contractor, Silver Dragon Construction presented and discussed the different aspects of the project including Dam Construction Methodology, geology and Construction materials, Electro-Mechanical Works, Environmental Compliance, and Contractual Requirements and Obligations.
The NIA Central Office issued to the contractor the Notice To Proceed, Approved GFC plans, and contract documents.The members of Irrigators' Associations were also present to express their support, being the beneficiaries of the project. During the open forum, all their queries were answered by both the contractor and NIA personnel.
