In preparation for the implementation of the Ugasan-Juanico Small Reservoir Irrigation Project in Barotac Viejo and Banate, Iloilo, an Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Campaign took place on October 2, 2024, at the Barangay Ugasan BarangayHall. This campaign aimed to ensure that the community members, particularly those directly impacted by the project, were well-informed and prepared.
Key representatives from the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Regional Office VI and the Iloilo-Guimaras Irrigation Management Office led the discussions.

They provided important updates on the project's current status and outlined the steps for the Right-of-Way activities. This direct engagement helped clarify how the project would unfold and what it meant for the residents involved, fostering transparency and active community participation.
With this campaign, the NIA team emphasized their commitment to ensuring the project’s smooth implementation while addressing any concerns of the affected individuals. The IEC was a crucial step in preparing for the construction phase, which aims to improve irrigation in the area and support local agriculture.
