NIA AKLAN CAPIZ IMO PARTNERS WITH FIVE IAS THROUGH IMT CONTRACT SIGNING

On May 26, 2025, the National Irrigation Administration – Aklan-Capiz Irrigation Management Office (NIA-Aklan-Capiz IMO), under the leadership of Division Manager Engr. Raymond B. Mojares officially sealed its partnership with five Irrigators’ Associations (IAs) through the ceremonial signing of the Irrigation Management Transfer (IMT) contracts.

The five associations: Lus-onan IA, Inc., Zibala IA of Pilar Capiz, Inc., Agbalo 2 IA, Inc., Cayus United FIA, Inc., and Manoling FIA, Inc., have formally agreed to take on greater responsibility in the operation, maintenance, and management of their respective irrigation systems.

The contract signing event, held with a sense of purpose and optimism, was witnessed by key NIA personnel, including Engr. Julieta E. Gallardo, Chief of Engineering and Operations, and Ms. Mary Ann Orbita, Sr IDO. Also present were the presidents and officers of the participating Irrigators’ Associations, alongside other staff from NIA. Their presence shows the significance of this activity and their collective dedication to ensuring the success of the IMT program.

This collaborative effort reflects the commitment of both the NIA and the IAs to improve irrigation services and O&M performance, promote sustainable water resource management, and empower local stakeholders through shared responsibility.
