NIA-AKLAN-CAPIZ IMO LAUNCHES "GULAYAN SA PATUBIGAN" PROGRAM TO PROMOTE SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE AND COMMUNITY GARDENING

In line with Memorandum Circular No. 10, series of 2025, titled “Agency-wide Implementation of the 'Gulayan sa Patubigan' Program: Promoting Community Gardening for Sustainable Agriculture,” the NIA-Aklan-Capiz IMO conducted its Memorandum of Understanding Signing and Launching Ceremony on June 20, 2025, at its Conference Room in Mambusao, Capiz.

The event was attended by Mr. John Raffy F. Hilario, Sr. Irrigator’s Development Officer and the focal person for the said program, from NIA Regional Office VI; Engr. Raymond B. Mojares, Division Manager of Aklan-Capiz IMO; Engr. Julieta E. Gallardo, Chief of Engineering and Operations; Engr. Mary Ann Orbita, Head of the Institutional Development Unit; Mr. Raoul Perez, Provincial Agriculturist of Capiz; and the Municipal Agriculturists from Mambusao (Ms. Neda Linan), Sigma (Ms. Ledelyn A. Dalida), President Roxas (Mr. Arnel D. Dislag), and Panay (Mr. Roualdo G. Agustin, OIC).

Following a brief program, the Gulayan sa Patubigan Program was officially launched through the ceremonial planting of vegetable seedlings, symbolizing the agency’s commitment to sustainability, cooperation, and food security.
