The National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Aklan-Capiz Irrigation Management Office (IMO), in collaboration with the Commission on Audit (COA), is conducting a four-day inspection and inventory of Water Supply Services for CY 2024 projects from January 21-24, 2025. The activity, led by NIA-ACIMO Property Officer Mr. Walter Mendoza, began in the municipalities of Altavas, Lezo, Malinao, and Banga in Aklan on its first day.
The team started in Altavas with the Agbalili CIS and will continue to various areas in the provinces of Aklan and Capiz. They are carefully assessing the current condition of water supply systems. The inspection involved verifying infrastructure, inventorying materials and assets, and evaluating operational standards to ensure efficiency and functionality.
This initiative highlights NIA-ACIMO’s dedication to improving water supply services in Aklan and Capiz. Through regular inspections, the agency identifies areas for enhancement, ensuring the agricultural sector continues to receive adequate water resources to support productivity.
