
From September 10 to 12, 2024, the National Irrigation Administration's Aklan-Capiz Irrigation Management Office (NIA-ACIMO) in Linabuan Sur, Banga, Aklan, underwent a comprehensive ISO audit aimed at ensuring the continuous improvement of its services.
The audit was spearheaded by a team of internal auditors from NIA Region VI, including Ms. Lyn Grace B. Causing, Division Manager of the Admin and Finance Division and the Chairperson of Internal Systems Audit (ISA); Ms. Maritess M. Bolinas, Administrative Services Officer IV; and Engr. Andres Bonnie O. Tuala, Chief of the Operation and Maintenance Division. They meticulously reviewed the office’s adherence to ISO standards, focusing on enhancing operational efficiency and stakeholder satisfaction.
Engr. Raymond B. Mojares, Division Manager of NIA-ACIMO, welcomed the audit as essential in maintaining the organization’s commitment to quality service. In his message, Engr. Mojares emphasized that the ISO audit serves as a crucial guideline for ensuring proper work standards, which ultimately reflect in the quality of services provided to stakeholders. "This activity will serve as our roadmap in maintaining the proper standards of working to ensure we serve our stakeholders well and with full satisfaction," said Engr. Mojares highlights the importance of the audit in achieving NIA’s goals.

The three-day activity demonstrated NIA-ACIMO's commitment to continuous improvement and excellence in delivering irrigation services to farmers and other stakeholders. With the support and guidance from NIA Region VI's internal audit team, NIA-ACIMO is poised to strengthen its service quality further, ensuring that its stakeholders benefit from efficient, well-managed, and ISO-compliant operations.
