
The Negros Occidental Irrigation Management Office (NOIMO) led by Acting Division Manager Engr. Edna L. Señadoza, participated in the Simultaneous Tree Planting activity to commemorate the 61st NIA’s Founding Anniversary and in support of Executive Orders (EO) 23 Series of 2011 and EO 193 Series of 2016 under the National Greening Program (NGP) with the theme “Sibol Para sa PAtubig ni BayaNIAn 2024”. The activity took place at Spur 19, Barangay Kumaliskis, Salvador Benedicto, Negros Occidental on July 5, 2024.


The NOIMO personnel together with various partner agencies, including the Local Government Unit of Salvador Benedicto represented by Ms. Jackie Mallorca, Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) of Bago City, Ms. Ceres Lyn Torno and Ms. Juna Jene Dagodog, DSB National Police represented by PSMS Rosemarie Arcillas, Don Salvador Benedicto Agricultural Forest Farmers Association (DSBAFFA) President, Mr. Roger Rebatado and members, Forest Multipliers, Treskillion Fraternity and Lawin Patroller/USAID Safe Water volunteers.
Negros Occidental Office of the Provincial Agriculturist provided 500 seedlings of Camonsil, Marang, Jackfruit, Cacao, Acacia, and Coffee while CENRO Bago City provided 50 fruit-bearing seedlings.
The activity aims to mitigate the effects of climate change, enhance biodiversity, improve the resilience of ecosystems, and achieve a greener and more sustainable environment.
