The Memorandum of Agreement for the Creation of CABANO Small Reservoir Irrigation Project is being signed by the members of the Multi-partite Monitoring Team (MMT), at Guimaras Mountain Resort, San Lorenzo, Guimaras.
The establishment of the MMT is one of the conditions stated in the Environmental Compliance Certificate (ECC) issued by the DENR-Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) to the project.
Present in the signing ceremony is the Regional Manager of NIA Region VI, Engr. Rory F. Advance and the NIA Regional Office and Iloilo-Guimaras IMO Staff taking charge of the environmental and social aspects of the project.
The 875-million peso Cabano SRIP is the biggest irrigation project in the island province of Guimaras, which was broken-ground on March 23, 2022.
