Under the leadership and full support of Acting Regional Manager of NIA-Region VI, Engr. Jonel B. Borres, and NIA-Aklan-Capiz IMO Division Manager, Engr. Raymond B. Mojares, a successful pre-construction conference took place at Barangay Tagas in Tangalan, Aklan, on May 3, 2024. This event marks the initiation of the Tangalan Communal Irrigation System, aiming to ensure smooth project execution and alignment on objectives, responsibilities, and timelines.
The conference was attended by officials and members of the Tangalan Integrated Services Association Inc., led by their President, Hon. Edgardo V. Tala-oc, as well as barangay officials of Brgy. Tagas, Tangalan, Aklan, headed by PB Ariel T. Tala-oc, who will benefit from the irrigation system, and staff from NIA-Aklan-Capiz IMO.
Key topics discussed included the project overview, roles and responsibilities of stakeholders, project timeline, water delivery schedule, and Right-of-Way concerns. The conference concluded with a reinforced commitment to collaboration and a shared vision for the successful implementation of the Tangalan Communal Irrigation System.
