GULAYAN SA PATUBIGAN ORIENTATION KICKS OFF IN AKLAN AND CAPIZ TO PROMOTE SUSTAINABLE FARMING

To promote sustainable food production and optimize the use of canal embankments, Irrigators’ Associations (IAs) from the provinces of Aklan and Capiz actively participated in an orientation on the “Gulayan sa Patubigan” program, initiated by the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Region VI.

The orientation began on May 7, 2025, at the NIA-Aklan-Capiz IMO Conference Room in Mambusao, Capiz. The activity was graced by Engr. Raymond B. Mojares, Division Manager of NIA-ACIMO.

Continuing on May 8 and 9, 2025, Mr. Raffy T. Hilario, Sr. IDO from the NIA Regional Office VI, led the sessions for IAs in Aklan East, West, and Panakuyan. He explained the goals of the program and highlighted its potential benefits to the participating associations.
