ENHANCING AGRICULTURAL DEVELOPMENT THROUGH IDP REVIEW AND PLANNING WORKSHOP

NIA-Antique IMO organized a significant two-day IDP Review and Planning Workshop at the Farmers' Training Center on February 15-16, 2024. The workshop brought together key personnel from the Institutional Development Unit to meticulously analyze and improve their activities undertaken throughout 2023.

Community Relations Chief B of the NIA Regional Office Ms. Joy A. Babiera led the workshop focusing on evaluating the physical and financial achievements, and effectiveness of training sessions and conferences conducted during the specified period.

The primary goal of the workshop is to serve as an essential annual assessment aimed at ensuring the efficient implementation of the Institutional Development Program. It seeks to provide vital guidance and feedback necessary for optimizing the execution of training programs and conferences, which ultimately benefits 131 Irrigators Associations in the province. This could involve adjusting methodologies, refining content, or enhancing logistical arrangements to ensure maximum effectiveness.

Through discussions and analysis, the Irrigators Development Officers (IDOs) will provide guidance and feedback on the strengths and weaknesses observed in the implementation of the IDP which are crucial for identifying areas of improvement and refining future plans.

Ultimately, the goal of the workshop is to enhance the support provided to the 131 Irrigators Associations. By improving the implementation of strategies and objectives, the workshop will empower these associations with the necessary knowledge and resources to enhance agricultural productivity and livelihoods within their respective communities.
