
In an update on the Cabano Small Reservoir Irrigation Project (SRIP), the construction progress has exceeded the target. As of November 15, 2023, the project's target was at 11.64%, but the actual accomplishment has risen, reaching 11.66%.
Currently, the Field Task Force supervises and monitors the contractor’s ongoing operations in the following areas:
1. Dam Area
a. Drilling (Non-core) and Grouting at the core trench (Section B)
b. Embankment at upstream (Random Fill)
2. Diversion Conduit
a. Concreting works, forms, and RSB installation for double barrel structures
b. Excavation and Foundation Preparation
c. Dewatering
3. Spillway Area
a. Drilling and installation of anchor bars
b. Laying of sand & gravel and installation of PVC Pipes for on-graded filter and drain
c. Concreting works, forms, and RSB installation for retaining wall at Sta.0+020 to 0+070 (right side)
d. Excavation and Foundation Preparation
4. Hauling and Disposal of Excavated Materials
5. Material Testing and Laboratory Works
In his project inspection, Division Manager A of the NIA-Iloilo-Guimaras Irrigation Management Office, Engr. Randy C. Alipis, instructed the Contractor to expedite the construction process for the Cabano SRIP.
This achievement highlights the agency's commitment to not only meeting but surpassing set targets.
