The Negros Occidental Irrigation Management Office led by its Division Manager, Engr. Isaias C. Melendez and the Bago RIS Federation of Irrigator’s Associations led by its President, Mr. Jimmy Guzon conducted annual clean up and closing of gates for the South District of Bago River Irrigation System (BRIS) These annual activities mark the end of Water delivery for south district of BRIS and concentrate water delivery in the North District which is scheduled for 3rd cropping this year with a programmed area of 5,884.43 hectares.
During the annual clan-upe, NIA and IAs share resources for clearing and desilting activities of irrigation canal and other irrigation facilities.
