The Igbangcal PIP Phase 2 is one of the proposed projects for CY 2022 funded under the Small Irrigation Project (SIP). The project, which will be implemented through Forced Account Works has a total budget of Php 3,000,000.00. It is targeted to generate an additional 7 hectares of service which will benefit 10 farmers. The project is located at Igbangcal B, Tobias Fornier, Antique. The beneficiary of said project is the Igbangcal Tobias Fornier IA.
The Pre-Construction Conference was conducted on April 1, 2021, wherein the physical and financial aspects of the project were discussed. Mr. Louie Vincent Pelingon, Project-in-Charge discussed the scope of work, project cost, and scheme of implementation. The duties and responsibilities of the Irrigators’ Association were discussed by Mr. Luis L. Joven, Sr, Sr. IDO/IDS Chief, while the Memorandum of Agreement was discussed by Ms. Gwendolyn D. Opiña, IDO-A.
“Ang dya nga proyekto makabulig guid ka bahul sa mga mangunguma gani buruligan naton tanan. Kabay pa nga padayon kita sa pagkooperar kag pagsuporta sa dya nga proyekto,” Mrs. Godilla T. Salcedo, IA President said.
Punong Barangay Deonisio Baguna of Igbangcal B, on the other hand said, “Maswerte kita hay duro nga mga proyekto ang nagasulod sa aton barangay. Pasalamatan naton dya kag dapat amligan guid. Kami nga mga barangay officials nagasuporta guid sa dya nga proyekto.”
With the accomplishment of all the Pre-Construction activities, the project implementation is expected to commence this April 2022.
