AKLAN-CAPIZ IMO CONDUCTS INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATION TRAINING TO REFINE GOVERNMENT SERVICE DELIVERY

December 28, 2023 - To enhance government service delivery, NIA-Aklan-Capiz IMO conducted Interpersonal Communication Training for the Government Service Delivery Excellence Program at the Aklan State University Function Hall, Kalibo, Aklan.

Ms. Maricel M. Bechayda, a national trainer and Division Chief of the DILG-Region VI’s Local Government Monitoring and Evaluation Division (LGMED), was the resource speaker of the activity, which aimed to strengthen the foundation of successful public service through effective communication.

According to Engr. Julieta E. Gallardo, Sr. Engineer and Section Head of ACIMO’s Engineering and Operations Section “Communication is the organization’s lifeblood. Organizations must work together to fulfill their goals. Efficient operations and good service delivery need to be able to effectively communicate information, comprehend constituent requests, and connect with colleagues. Choosing the right words and tone plays a role in communication; hence, everyone in the organization, regardless of position, is important. Following the training session, participants are required to fill the gap by actively engaging in today’s activities…”

Acting Division Manager of Aklan-Capiz IMO Engr. Raymond B. Mojares expressed his appreciation for all of the hard work and efforts of the employees for this year’s accomplishments. His sincere desire is that the skills learned during the training program would help farmers in the Aklan and Capiz areas. “Let’s strive for excellence in public service and work hand-in-hand to make it possible” Engr. Mojares emphasized.

The training session concluded with everyone in the training singing “Hawak Kamay” by Yeng Constantino. According to Ms. Bechayda, this reminds employees to work together to achieve one goal: to provide quality and better service to Filipino farmers through effective communication.

Aklan-Capiz IMO is certain that this training program will provide vital communication skills for its employees and contribute to a more effective and responsive public service. This initiative shows the office’s commitment to providing government personnel with the necessary skills to effectively communicate and raise service delivery standards to the farmers of the Provinces of Aklan and Capiz and other relevant interested parties.
