On June 28, 2022, NIA Aklan-Capiz Irrigation Management Office (ACIMO) held an IMO Mid-Year Assessment on Project Implementation at ACIMO Conference Room, Linabuan Sur, Banga, Aklan. Engr. Rory F. Avance, Regional Manager A of NIA Regional Office VI together with personnel from the Engineering and Operations Division headed by Engr. Robertino O. Lapeña and Engr. Rebecca F. Grana of the Construction Management Section extended support and assessed the completed and ongoing projects in the provinces of Aklan and Capiz.
The activity was attended by Engr. Lorena B. Sioco, ACIMO Division Manager A, Engr. Julieta E. Gallardo, Engineering and Operations Section Chief, Engr. Edna L. Señadoza, Supervising Engineer A, and all Aklan-Capiz IMO Projects-in-Charge.
The goal of the assessment was to improve the project implementation by rightly following the processes and address existing problems that cause delays. On May 27, 2022, the Internal Audit Services (IAS) from NIA Central Office audited the completed and ongoing projects of Aklan and Capiz. Based on IAS’ findings, Engr. Avance prompted the concerned personnel to comply with the recommendations immediately.
Engr. Avance said in his message, “After this assessment, we should go out of the box. This is an opportunity for us to lead you. Ang tinutuyo sang aton assessment, amo ina to learn more.
This is also an opportunity for others to learn from them kung ano ang ila gin himo” After the assessment, Engr. Sioco thanked the Regional Office VI for their support and time spent with ACIMO to evaluate, give constructive feedback, and substantially improve the project implementation of the office to efficiently serve better our clients and contribute to the country’s
agricultural productivity.
