TURNOVER OF 4 COMMUNAL IRRIGATION SYSTEMS TO THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNIT OF CADIZ CITY

Engr. Isaias C. Melendez, Division Manager A, Negros Occidental IMO led the turn over four of Communal Irrigation Systems, namely Hiyang-Hiyang CIS, Pacul CIS, Igcamalig CIS and Hda. Unson CIS to the Local Government Unit of Cadiz City. Signinf of tuenover document, Certificate of Turnover, Certificate of Acceotance and Certificate of Conformity were the highlights of this meaningful event.

The four CIS has an aggregate area of 428 hectares with 204 Famer-beneficiaries.

CABIA-AN & TABLAS CIS TURNED OVER TO CANDONI, NEGROS OCCIDENTAL

Negros Occidental IMO being represented by Engr. Bernard N. Castellano turns over its two Communal Irrigation Systems, the Cabia-an CIS and Tablas SWIS to the Municipality of Candoni, Negros Occidental.

These 2 irrigation systems have an aggregate area of 101 hectares with 78 farmer beneficiaries. Mr. Noni M. Gayem, Municipal Agriculturist together with IA presidents, Ramonit S. Getida, of TABSI SWIS Association, and Mr. Ronelo S. Rodrigo of Nailan Farmers IA, Inc, along with their respective members are present in this meaningful event.

FIVE CISS SUCCESSFULLY TURNED OVER TO LGUS IN GUIMARAS

As part of the National Irrigation Administration’s transition plan for the implementation of Executive Order 138 on the full devolution of certain functions of the executive branch to local governments, five (5) Communal Irrigation Systems were successfully turned over to the municipalities of Nueva Valencia and Jordan in the province of Guimaras on December 12, 2022.

Balcon Melliza CIS and Buluangan CIS in Jordan; and Igdarapdap CIS, Sto. Domingo CIS and San Antonio CIS in Nueva Valencia were the CISs being handed over to the LGU for monitoring and supervision.

NEGROS IMO TURNED OVER 5 CIS TO CAUAYAN, NEGROS OCCIDENTAL

A turn-over of Mambugsay, Molobolo, Palaypay, Buclao and Basak Communal Irrigation Systems to the Municipality of Cauayan, Negros Occidental was held on December 14, 2022, led by the Division Manager A of NIA Negros Occidental IMO Engr. Isaias C. Melendez.

These Communal Irrigation Systems have an aggregate service area of 292 hectares benefiting 382 farmers.

Mayor John Rey D. Tabujara and Vice Mayor Anna Liza T. Soriano and other members of the Sangguniang Bayan together with Department Heads and Presidents of Irrigators' Associations were present.

NEGROS IMO TURNED OVER 5 CIS

The Negros Occidental IMO turned over Five Communal Irrigation Systems (CIS) to the Municipality of La Castellana. The Cabacungan CIS, Antipolay CIS, Nato CIS Malaga CIS, and Camandag CIS with an aggregate service area of 507.28 hectares and farmer-beneficiaries of 464 are the first group of CIS in the Province turned over to LGU as part of NIA Devolution Transition Plan.

NIA AFFIRMS SUPPORT TO IA, LGU AMID EO 138

“Ari kami gihapon para mag-suporta,” Engr. Lorena B. Sioco, Division Manager A of Aklan-Capiz Irrigation Management Office said during the ceremonial turnover of Communal Irrigation Systems to the local government units on October 25-26, 2022 at the municipalities of Libacao and Altavas, Aklan.

As part of the agency’s Devolution Transition Plan, two more LGUs accepted the following CISs: Ogsip CIS, Ortega CIS, Sibalew CIS, and Julita-Bonza CIS from Libacao and Talon CIS from Altavas.

NIA, IA, LGU, SIGN MOA OF TANDUYAN CIS

On October 24, 2022, the National Irrigation Administration- Iloilo-Guimaras Irrigation Management Office (NIA-IGIMO) Division Manager A, Engr. Randy C. Alipis, Ms. Edelita Diane, and the honorable Mayor Jett C. Rojas of the local government unit of Ajuy signed the tripartite Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) during the turnover ceremony of Tanduyan Communal Irrigation Systems to the municipality of Ajuy held in Ajuy Covered Gym.

The MOA states the duties and responsibilities of each party in the Tanduyan Communal Irrigation System.

ACIMO TURNS OVER THREE CISs TO MADALAG LGU

Aklan-Capiz Irrigation Management Office successfully turned over three (3) Communal Irrigation Systems to the Municipal Local Government Unit of Madalag, Aklan. Engr. Lorena B. Sioco, ACIMO Division Manager A, initiated the turn over on October 19, 2022 held at the Municipal Hall of Madalag. Engr. Robertino O. Lapeña, Engineering and Operations Division Manager and Mr. Leonard Salonga, Sr. IDO graced the occasion and supported the endeavor.

The communal irrigation systems that were devolved were Olias CIS, Bontaling CIS, and Tigbawan CIS.

TWO IRRIGATION SYSTEMS SUCCESSFULLY TURNED OVER TO LGU

October 14, 2022 - The Dalid Communal Irrigation System (CIS) and Tarog Alimodian Pump Irrigation System have been successfully turned over to the local government unit of Alimodian, earlier today.

The National Irrigation Administration- Iloilo-Guimaras Irrigation Management Office Division Manager A, Engr. Randy C. Alipis, handed the turnover documents of the two CIS that serves 48 farmer-beneficiaries with a total service area of 75 hectares to Alimodian LGU headed by Mayor Ian Kenneth A. Alfeche.
