The National Irrigation Administration – Antique Irrigation Management Office (Antique IMO) under the management of Division Manager Ma. Elena T. Basco held the Blessing of the Antique IMO Main Building and Division Manager’s Quarters on September 16, 2022.

Present on the said event were Vice Governor Edgar Denosta, NIA VI Regional Manager Rory F. Avance, and NIA Region VI employees and staff.

The works on a small irrigation project continue in San Joaquin, province of Iloilo.

The construction of canal structures of Ginot-an Communal Irrigation Project amounting to 4Million will run through the barangay of Ginot-an and will serve 32 farmers when completed.

So far, 473 meters of bench flume have been built. The project is set to be completed on the 12th day of October.

The Regional Office 6 - ISO Internal Quality Audit Team headed by its Chairperson, Ms. Lyn Grace B. Causing and its members; Ms. Maritess M. Bolinas and Engr. Andres Bonie O. Tuala, with their Scribes respectively, Wella Tuan, Aubrey Pantin and Geraldine Cabaobao are currently conducting an audit in Negros Occidental IMO to help assess the said office in its continuing pursuit on ISO Quality Management System.

In celebration of the Third Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill 2022, the NIA Regional Office VI and Iloilo- Guimaras Management Office employees actively participated in the Duck, Cover, Hold, and Evacuation Protocol lead by their designated Fire and Earthquake Chief, Mr. Verdin Paul Deocampo.

Antique IMO led the weekly Flag Raising Ceremony at the EBJ Freedom Park on September 5, 2022. In attendance were Antique Governor, Hon. Rhodora J. Cadiao, Vice Governor, Hon. Edgar D. Denosta and employees of the different Provincial Agencies in Antique.

The Municipality of Moises Padilla, through its Mayor Hon. Ella Celestina Garcia-Yulo signed a Marketing Agreement with Bungahin Irrigators' Association, Inc. represented by its President, Jona Altea at the Municipal Hall of Moises Padilla on September 5, 2022.

RVI IQA Team conducts Readiness Assessment to all offices covering the region. This activity is in preparation for the Internal Quality Audit to be conducted on Sept. 9-28, 2022.

The Negros Occidental IMO conducts 2-day Workshop on IA Monitoring Tools Batch 2: Operation and Maintenance, led by IDP Centralizer, Ms. Ligaya G. Belarmino together with Operations & Maintenance staff on August 18-19, 2022 at Natures Village Resort, Talisay City.

Participants are the Irrigators' Associations Chairpersons and Members of Service Committee of MC MAHAMUNGAYA, SAN JUAN DEL MONTE, KATILINGBAN DULAO and TAMBANA. Also present is the IA Federation President, Mr. Pedro P. Limpangog.

Always remember that making an impact, however small it may seem, will be always be rewarding,” Engr. Ma. Elena T. Basco, Acting Division Manager stressed during the last day of their On-the-Job Training.

On June 30, 2022, the National Irrigation Administration- Iloilo-Guimaras Irrigation Management Office (NIA-IGIMO) held an inter-agency convergence for the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) in Iloilo City to help different Irrigators' Associations (IAs) in the establishment of linkages with other agencies in marketing their produce.
