The Antique IMO prepared for the delivery of food packs for the employees that were affected by the severe flooding brought about by Typhoon Paeng.

Antique IMO Division Manager Ma. Elena T. Basco immediately instructed the delivery of food packs especially to the employees of Antique IMO who are in urgent need of food and hygiene kits.

The Operation and Maintenance personnel had also been advised and dispatched to the field to assess the damages to the crops and irrigation facilities.

“We are here not to find faults but to extend support if there is a need for intervention. But the way I see it, Antique IMO has greatly improved. The efforts of the IMO Manager and the cooperation of all the employees have contributed to this improvement. Indeed, human resources play a vital role in any organization. Treat them well and they will likewise perform well.” Engr. Rory F. Avance, Regional Manager said during the 3rd Quarter Assessment on Project Implementation on October 25, 2022 at the Farmers Training Center, San Jose, Antique.

On October 24, 2022, the National Irrigation Administration- Iloilo-Guimaras Irrigation Management Office (NIA-IGIMO) Division Manager A, Engr. Randy C. Alipis, Ms. Edelita Diane, and the honorable Mayor Jett C. Rojas of the local government unit of Ajuy signed the tripartite Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) during the turnover ceremony of Tanduyan Communal Irrigation Systems to the municipality of Ajuy held in Ajuy Covered Gym.

The MOA states the duties and responsibilities of each party in the Tanduyan Communal Irrigation System.

The Internal Auditors from the Organization and Management Audit Division of the National Irrigation Administration- Central Office currently holding a pre-exit meeting to discuss the findings and observations during the conduct of the Management Audit on Leave Administration on October 24, 2022, in Iloilo-Guimaras Irrigation Management Office (IGIMO).

Aklan-Capiz Irrigation Management Office successfully turned over three (3) Communal Irrigation Systems to the Municipal Local Government Unit of Madalag, Aklan. Engr. Lorena B. Sioco, ACIMO Division Manager A, initiated the turn over on October 19, 2022 held at the Municipal Hall of Madalag. Engr. Robertino O. Lapeña, Engineering and Operations Division Manager and Mr. Leonard Salonga, Sr. IDO graced the occasion and supported the endeavor.

The communal irrigation systems that were devolved were Olias CIS, Bontaling CIS, and Tigbawan CIS.

Engr. Ma. Elena T. Basco took her virtual Oath of Office before Deputy Administrator for Administrative and Finance Sector Ralph Lauren H. Du on October 20, 2022.

Prior to her appointment as Division Manager A, Engr. Basco assumed as Acting Division Manager of Antique IMO on December 1, 2021. She also served as Principal A in Negros Occidental IMO. She was also a Supervising Engineer A at the Regional Office. She headed the Interim Special Projects Office which was responsible for all the Feasibility Study and Engineering Design phases of all special projects of the region.

NIA Regional Office VI headed by Engr. Rory F. Avance conducted 3rd quarter Assessment on Project Implementation for Negros Occidental IMO on October 19-20, 2022 at Northland Resort Hotel, Manapla, Negros Occidental.

Physical and financial status of each project were being thoroughly discuss including issues and concerns that need management intervention.

Internal Auditors from the Organization and Management Audit Division, Internal Audit Services conducts Management Audit on Leave Administration to Regional Office VI on October 17-October 29, 2022.

An Entry Conference was conducted on October 17, 2022 in the morning at the Regional Office while Antique IMO had the audit on October 18-19, 2022.

The Audit Team meticulously checked the records i.e, DTRs, Records of Leave, Logbooks, Travel Orders, Certificates of Appearance, Desk Manual and other documents.

Aklan-Capiz Irrigation Management Office successfully turned over the Agbalogo Communal Irrigation Project (CIP) to Agbalogo Irrigators Association, Inc. The activity was conducted last October 12, 2022 at Barangay Agbalogo, Makato, Aklan. After the ribbon cutting at the constructed dam site the attendees namely the members of Irrigator’s Association as the beneficiaries, representatives from NIA and local officials gathered at the Barangay Hall for the turnover and acceptance ceremony.

October 14, 2022 - The Dalid Communal Irrigation System (CIS) and Tarog Alimodian Pump Irrigation System have been successfully turned over to the local government unit of Alimodian, earlier today.

The National Irrigation Administration- Iloilo-Guimaras Irrigation Management Office Division Manager A, Engr. Randy C. Alipis, handed the turnover documents of the two CIS that serves 48 farmer-beneficiaries with a total service area of 75 hectares to Alimodian LGU headed by Mayor Ian Kenneth A. Alfeche.
