NIA R6 RECEIVES EXEMPLARY AWARD

During the Flag Raising Ceremony this morning, Mr. John Esar David, Director II, CSC Iloilo Provincial Office awarded the Certificate of Appreciation to National Irrigation Administration Regional Office VI for its delivery of exemplary public service through the tireless commitment, resiliency, and priceless contributions of its government front liners and workers, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

NEGROS IMO TURNED OVER 5 CIS

The Negros Occidental IMO turned over Five Communal Irrigation Systems (CIS) to the Municipality of La Castellana. The Cabacungan CIS, Antipolay CIS, Nato CIS Malaga CIS, and Camandag CIS with an aggregate service area of 507.28 hectares and farmer-beneficiaries of 464 are the first group of CIS in the Province turned over to LGU as part of NIA Devolution Transition Plan.

Joint System Management Committee Meeting for the Bago RIS and Pangiplan RIS

November 16, 2022 - Negros Occidental IMO conducts Joint System Management Committee Meeting for the Bago River Irrigation System and Pangiplan River Irrigation System at L'Fisher Hotel, Bacolod City.

Present were Gov. Eugenio Jose "Bong" V. Lacson, representatives from LGUs covering BRIS and PRIS together with partner agencies and NOIMO personnel headed by Engr. Isaias C. MELENDEZ, Division Manager A.

Road surfacing of service roads, illegal settlers, and garbage on irrigation canals were discussed and the committee has approved the 2023 operation and maintenance plan.

The Aklan-Capiz Irrigation Management Office opens a new chapter as they embrace its new Acting Division Manager. A native of Barotac Viejo, Iloilo, Engr. Mojares previously leads as the Operations and Maintenance Chief of the Jalaur-Suage River Irrigation System under the Iloilo-Guimaras IMO. In his speech during his first flag-raising ceremony, he reminded the body to always render services to farmers and stockholders in the best interest.

JSRIS AND BVRIS WELCOME NEW CHIEF

A welcoming program to the new Operation and Maintenance Chief for Jalaur-Suague River Irrigation System (RIS) and Barotac Viejo RIS was held on November 10, 2022 in Brgy. Cato-ogan, Pototan, Iloilo.

Engr. Franz Daniel S. Ebron has been designated as Chief of Operation and Maintenance of the Jalaur-Suague River Irrigation System and Barotac Viejo RIS.

ACIMO WELCOMES NEW DIVISION MANAGER

Following the retirement of Aklan-Capiz Irrigation Management Office Division Manager A, Engr. Lorena B. Sioco, the flag is passed to its new Acting Division Manager Engr. Raymond B. Mojares.

A momentous ceremony was held today, November 9, 2022 at ACIMO Conference Room, Linabuan Sur, Banga, Aklan. NIA Region VI Regional Manager A Engr. Rory F. Avance act as the Presiding Officer for the event.

NIA REGION VI VISITS NIA REGION X

The BAC Members, Technical Working Group, and BAC Secretatiat of NIA Regional Office VI and Negros Occidental IMO headed by Engr. Isaias C. Melendez paid a quick visit to the NIA Region X Office in Cagayan De Oro City, for a courtesy call to NIA Region X Regional Manager, Engr. Leonila E. Tenestrante.

The BAC Members are in Cagayan de Oro City from November 9-12, 2022 to attend the Seminar/Workshop on RA 9184 Government Procurement Reform Act.

WELCOME ADMINISTRATOR BENNY ANTIPORDA!

NOIMO employees welcomed Administrator Benny Antiporda in his quick visit to the NOIMO Office in Bago City, Negros Occidental on November 7, 2022.

Administrator Antiporda attended the flag ceremony, did a quick tour of the offices and compound, and talked with the employees.

In the informal talks, the Administrator reminded the employees to work with their hearts and to always think that they are working for the good of the farmers.

NIA AFFIRMS SUPPORT TO IA, LGU AMID EO 138

“Ari kami gihapon para mag-suporta,” Engr. Lorena B. Sioco, Division Manager A of Aklan-Capiz Irrigation Management Office said during the ceremonial turnover of Communal Irrigation Systems to the local government units on October 25-26, 2022 at the municipalities of Libacao and Altavas, Aklan.

As part of the agency’s Devolution Transition Plan, two more LGUs accepted the following CISs: Ogsip CIS, Ortega CIS, Sibalew CIS, and Julita-Bonza CIS from Libacao and Talon CIS from Altavas.
