The National Irrigation Administration- Iloilo-Guimaras Irrigation Management Office headed by Division Manager A Engr. Randy C. Alipis turned over the Yabon Pump Irrigation System located in Brgy. Yabon, Janiuay, Iloilo to the Local Government Unit of Janiuay earlier today.
Hon. Paulino M. Parian, municipal mayor of Janiuay, signs the turnover documents of the Yabon Pump Irrigation System, which covers 40 hectares of the service area of 26 farmer-beneficiaries.
Present are the members of the Yabon Irrigators' Association, Inc., headed by their president, Mr. Jonathan R. Cabarles who also signed the tripartite memorandum of agreement that states the functions of each party to the operation and maintenance of the irrigation system.
This activity is part of the NIA's transition plan for the implementation of Executive Order 138 on the full devolution of certain functions of the executive branch to local governments.
