The Negros Occidental IMO turned over Five Communal Irrigation Systems (CIS) to the Municipality of La Castellana. The Cabacungan CIS, Antipolay CIS, Nato CIS Malaga CIS, and Camandag CIS with an aggregate service area of 507.28 hectares and farmer-beneficiaries of 464 are the first group of CIS in the Province turned over to LGU as part of NIA Devolution Transition Plan.
Present were local officials headed by the Municipal Mayor, Alme Rhummyla G. Nicor-Mangilimutan, Irrigators Association Presidents Mr. Salvador M. Casilagan (Ganet-Nato IA, Inc.), Mr. Daniel L. Diamante (Impiguiwan River Farmers IA, Inc.), Mr. Pablito P. Legazpi (Nursery ARB Ia, Inc.), Ms. Analyn L. Rubio (Espinos-Jamandre Ia, Inc.), Mr. Danilo N. Hengoyon (Antipolay Ia, Inc.) and members, and NOIMO personnel headed by Engr. Isaias C. Melendez, Division Manager A.
The highlight of the program was the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement, Certificate of Turnover, Certificate of Acceptance, and Certificate of Conformity.
