SAEAMAT GID NIA!

Aklan-Capiz Irrigation Management Office successfully turned over the Agbalogo Communal Irrigation Project (CIP) to Agbalogo Irrigators Association, Inc. The activity was conducted last October 12, 2022 at Barangay Agbalogo, Makato, Aklan. After the ribbon cutting at the constructed dam site the attendees namely the members of Irrigator’s Association as the beneficiaries, representatives from NIA and local officials gathered at the Barangay Hall for the turnover and acceptance ceremony.

The Ogee-type Dam, earth and bench flume canals are the structures included in the project. Prior to the turnover ceremony, various activities were conducted through Institutional Development Program of NIA. The farmers in the organization were enhanced and strengthened for they will take over the responsibilities in taking care and managing the irrigation system.

The Local Government Unit expressed their support towards the development of agricultural aspect through the partnership of NIA and IAs. The National Irrigation Administration is looking forward for the fruitful and productive operation of the turned over projects to the IA. The IA, represented by its chairman Mr. Apolinario O. Macawili Jr. signed the turnover documents. During his speech he happily voiced out the words… “Saeamat gid NIA!”
