With the theme “A Legacy of Service, A Future of Promise,” the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) – Antique Irrigation Management Office (IMO) joined the celebration of the NIAEASP Anniversary 2026 on May 21, 2026, through activities that reflected gratitude, compassion, and unity.
The celebration began with a Thanksgiving Mass, a meaningful reminder of the blessings, guidance, and dedication that continue to strengthen the agency’s commitment to public service.
One of the highlights of the celebration was the “Blessing Flows Beyond the Wall”, a Corporate Social Responsibility activity. Through this initiative, twenty (20) selected schoolchildren from Grades 1 to 6 of Barangay 6, San Jose, Antique, received school supplies in preparation for the opening of classes this June.
The smiles of the children served as a touching reminder that even simple acts of kindness can bring hope, joy, and encouragement. More than the school supplies, the activity carried a message: that service becomes more meaningful when it reaches beyond office walls and touches the lives of the community.
Engr. Bernard N. Castellano, Division Manager A, shared, “Community service has always been a part of NIA’s culture. While our mandate is centered on serving our farmers and irrigation communities, our responsibility to serve does not end there. It also extends to other members of the community, especially our children, who represent the future we are all working for.”
In the afternoon, NIA Antique IMO personnel took part in a team-building activity that brought fun, laughter, and camaraderie among staff.
In the end, winning was not the highlight of the game. What mattered most was the spirit of cooperation, trust, and teamwork shown by everyone. The activity reminded the staff that strong teams are built not only through work, but also through shared moments of joy and unity.
Through this celebration, NIA Antique IMO honored not only the legacy of service of NIAEASP, but also the promise of a stronger, more compassionate, and united organization moving forward.
