NIA ANTIQUE IMO BEGINS DISBURSING CASH ASSITANCE TO RICE CONTRACT FARMING BENEFICIARIES

The National Irrigation Administration- Antique Irrigation Management Office has successfully disbursed 70% of the financial assistance to the beneficiaries of the Rice Contract Farming Program.

On July 22, 2024, the cash assistance was allocated to the farmers of CASIBO South IA and SIHAMSA North IA. This was followed by an additional disbursement on July 24, 2024, for the farmers of Division A IA and BISTO IA.

The released funds are designated for the maintenance and supervision of crops, ensuring that farmers have the necessary resources to manage their fields effectively throughout the growing season. The cash assistance will cover operational costs, including labor, and other essential expenses.

The NIA- Antique Irrigation Management Office remains committed to supporting the local agricultural community by ensuring the timely and efficient disbursement of funds. As they continue to monitor and evaluate the progress of the Rice Contract Farming Program, the office has high hopes that this will greatly help farmers enhance their crop productivity.
