EPAHP Key Player for SMES

On September 16, the key players for Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) held a meeting for Supervision, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Support (SMES) at Smallville 21 Hotel, Manduariao, Iloilo City.

Spearheaded by the National Irrigation Administration- Iloilo-Guimaras Irrigation Management Office, the participants from the different Irrigators' Associations (IAs), Department of Agriculture (DA), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Landbank of the Philippines (LBP), National Food Authority (NFA), and Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) gather to monitor and evaluate the accomplishment for the First semester.

Also, this convergence is the venue to plan for the remaining

activities for 2022 and identify support programs for the one of the main subjects of EPAHP: the farmers.

"It is difficult for the National Irrigation Administration to attain the full development of the irrigation sector without the intervention of other agencies through their projects, programs, and activities,"; Engr. Randy C. Alipis, Division Manager A of NIA-IGIMO.

As a way forward, the agencies will continue to work on their functions to strengthen the pursuit of mitigating hunger, ensuring food and nutrition security, and reducing poverty in the farmers of Iloilo.
