The Memorandum of Agreement for the Creation of CABANO Small Reservoir Irrigation Project is being signed by the members of the Multi-partite Monitoring Team (MMT), at Guimaras Mountain Resort, San Lorenzo, Guimaras.

The establishment of the MMT is one of the conditions stated in the Environmental Compliance Certificate (ECC) issued by the DENR-Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) to the project.

NIA –IA Operation and Maintenance End Season Evaluation for Wet 2022 and Planning for Dry 2023

The Aklan-Capiz Irrigation Management Office and Irrigators’ Associations from the East

side of Aklan actively joined in conducting the ’NIA-IA Operation and Maintenance End Season Evaluation for Wet Crop 2022 and Planning for Dry Crop 2023”.

October 12, 2022- The National Irrigation Administration- Iloilo-Guimaras Irrigation Management Office (NIA-IGIMO) is holding a turnover ceremony of Two (2) Communal Irrigation Systems to the Local Government Unit of Maasin, Iloilo, today.

This activity is part of the NIA's transition plan for the implementation of Executive Order 138 on the full devolution of certain functions of the executive branch to local government units.

This will also be a venue for the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) and turnover documents to the LGU.

NIA-Central Office conducted the EPAHP Kamustahan Performance Review Workshop last October 10-11, 2022 to evaluate the accomplishments for the month of January-September 2022 and to assess the commitment of NIA to the EPAHP Program.

NIA Regional Office 6 was represented by Ms. Joy A. Babiera, Community Relations Chief-B of the Institutional Development Section together with Mr. Leonard I. Salonga, Sr. IDO and EPAHP Focal Person. Ms. Ruth Cely Jamelo, Division Manager - Institutional Development Division of JRMP II was also present in the activity.

The activity titled “Pag-ulikid sa Dunang Manggad” aims to raise awareness among government workers on corporate social responsibility advocacies that are geared towards nature restoration and preservation for the benefit of our clients, stakeholders, and the community.

The IDS Assessment and Planning Workshop is a regular activity that aims to evaluate the performances of the IMOs based on their accomplishments per quarter. The Regional Office considers it as an effective strategy not only to assist and monitor the IDP implementation but to provide inputs and recommendations should there be deviations from their targets, as well.

On September 13, 2022, NIA-Iloilo-Guimaras IMO-Jalaur-Suague River Irrigation System, Pototan, Iloilo personnel conducted their 1st day of Operation FISA Consultation and Application at Brgy. Dawis Sur, Zarraga, Iloilo/INDACA IA. This is an on-site processing/application of Free Irrigation and Condonation and Writing off of unpaid Irrigation Service Fees (ISF) per RA 10969, the Free Irrigation Service Act (FISA) to qualified landowners.

On September 16, the key players for Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) held a meeting for Supervision, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Support (SMES) at Smallville 21 Hotel, Manduariao, Iloilo City.

Negros Occidental IMO in partnership with Municipality of Moises Padilla and Office of the Provincial Agriculturist conducted Turn-Over of Greenhouse (Model Farm) to Bungahin Irrigators' Association, (IA) Inc. and Farmers' Field Day.

The said IA has won the 5th place for the 2020 Nationwide search for Most Outstanding IA and was awarded with One Million Pesos f0r the establishment of IA Model Farm which include the construction of Green house, open field plots and overhead tank for drip irrigation driven by a solar power.
